While in Hawaii to check a hospital site, I was also called to a house that a couple had bought and completely remodeled. It was once a fixer-upper, and they poured their hearts into making it their dream home. But within just a year of moving in, everything changed.

After 20 years of a peaceful marriage, they suddenly began arguing non-stop. They now sleep in separate rooms. The wife fell sick, suffered an accident, and even their adorable dog became listless and unwell.

The moment I walked into the house, I felt chills. My skin began itching, my head pounded, and I knew something wasn’t right. I opened my Luopan, but the needle wouldn’t stay still. After much effort, I finally got a reading. The truth revealed itself: the house was sitting on a void zone, and disturbingly, every entry point of the home was on this void.

When I asked about the history, I wasn’t surprised. Over the past 40 years, this property had seen it all, divorces, tragedies, even deaths. My client confirmed that her family also felt uneasy there, and her mother-in-law had even run out in the middle of the night, too spooked to stay.

Sometimes, Feng Shui can place a band-aid on a house, but just like a real band-aid, it doesn’t last forever. I gave her remedies to manage the energy for now, but also advised that the true solution is to move into a healthier space.

Some houses carry beauty on the outside but deep scars on the inside. This was one of them.
